Members of the Presidential Fellows Program enjoy special opportunities to participate more fully in the academic life of Washington College. When people in the national spotlight visit campus, you'll be on the welcoming committee. Plus, you'll participate in exclusive field trips, leadership workshops and other networking opportunities, including:
- The annual George Washington Book Prize reading and reception.
- Sailing aboard the Schooner Sultana, a floating classroom focused on the history and environment of the Chesapeake Bay.
- A behind-the-scenes tour of Mount Vernon, home and history of our College's founder and namesake.
- A day trip to Annapolis to meet with elected representatives and lobbyists who graduated from Washington College.
- Invitations to join activities of the College's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the Douglass Cater Society of Junior Fellows and the Omicron Delta Kappa national honor society.

Presidential Fellows are given preferential treatment for:
- course registration
- enrollment in honors courses
- faculty advisors, and
- roommate selection
All activities are free of charge for Presidential Fellows.
