The Washington College Encouraging Respect of Sexuality (EROS) Alliance exists to promote constructive relationships and a sense of community among students and school affiliates of all sexual orientations and lifestyles. We seek to break down the silence surrounding issues of sexuality and gender through the open exchange of ideas in a comfortable, informal, and non-threatening environment. We hope to accomplish these aims by providing supportive opportunities for social and educational experiences both on and off campus and by serving as a resource to increase awareness and understanding of the many ways we all think, feel, and love.
The EROS Alliance is an organization dedicated to giving students of all sexualities, sexual orientations, race, ethnicity, and religious beliefs a sense of belonging and community at Washington College. We are working towards an environment where students can openly be themselves, and be accepted for who they are without prejudice, judgment, or intolerance. To achieve this goal, we hope to work with students and faculty on campus, various organizations, and the community outside of the college, in a variety of forums-from on campus activities, speakers, and social events, to larger events. All people on campus are invited to join or support the group.
